We use essential cookies to run the site. With your permission we also use Google Analytics and Google AdSense on our public guides and tools. Signed-in users have a separate consent flow for move automation.
What we set
- Authentication session — keeps you signed in after Google sign-in. Set when you sign in, cleared when you sign out.
- Consent record — remembers that you have accepted our terms and consent so we don't prompt you again on every visit.
- Anti-abuse signals — short-lived rate-limit counters to keep free-tier quotas honest.
- Payment session — set by Stripe during checkout to complete your purchase securely.
- Advertising preference — remembers whether you accepted Google AdSense on public SEO pages (guides, cities, tools).
Optional cookies (with your consent)
- Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregated traffic measurement on settern.io public pages when you choose Accept all.
- Google AdSense — serves ads on public guides and tools when you choose Accept all. Google may set advertising cookies subject to your choice.
What we don't set without consent
- Advertising or personalization cookies before you accept them in our cookie banner.
- Cross-site tracking pixels unrelated to Google Analytics or AdSense.
- Third-party marketing profiles sold to data brokers.
How to control them
You can clear cookies in your browser at any time. Doing so will sign you out of SetTern.io and reset your advertising/analytics preference — we will ask you to confirm cookies again on public pages. Essential-only mode keeps ads and optional analytics disabled.
