Understanding your Relocation Cost Estimator result

Your relocation total blends recurring living costs with one-time move costs. Here is how to interpret it and why some lines stay blank on purpose.

What is inside the total

It combines cited city living midpoints (scaled by your runway months and lifestyle) with one-time items: deposit, visa, flights, and shipping. Living costs and the deposit basis come from the catalog; flights use a live band when available.

Why lines can be incomplete

Shipping and some fares are never invented. If you have not entered a quote, the tool shows the line as missing rather than faking a number, so your total is honest about what is still unknown.

How to firm it up

Add a mover quote for shipping and a real fare for flights. Confirm visa fees on the official portal via the linked fee estimator. The FX line uses live ECB reference rates, so re-run it near your move date.

Honesty & sources

Shipping is never invented — full move totals need your mover quote. Visa fees refresh weekly from registry.
